Abramovich, Cannavaro and Chelsea without Mourinho

Looks like Chelsea’s boss Jose Mourinho will be given the boot by the end of the season, if this news is any indication of the truth.

Ever since the launch of Chelsea’s new website and rumours that Roman Abramovich was starting to dictate transfer policy, it looked as though the Russian was looking to dazzle fans with a slick image off the pitch and a view to playing attacking, stylish football like that of Barcelona and Arsenal.

It now seems he also wants big names at the club, with the seemingly imminent arrival of Fabio Cannavaro. Media sources report that Abramovich wants to copy the financial success of Madrid’s “Galacticos” policy in the style of Barcelona and Ronaldinho, whom I’m sure Chelsea will try to buy next summer.

So it is inevitable that Jose Mourinho will see the door at the end of the season. He probably wants to go now but Abramovich will wait until the end of the campaign, when it will be easier to sign the best possible manager who will not have to deal with the pressures of a team chasing the league title.
