ZINEDINE ZIDANE is ready to come out of retirement and join David Beckham’s American adventure.
Beckham will wave goodbye to Real Madrid in June to begin his five-year US odyssey, expected to earn him £125m.
But Beckham will not be the only superstar on the Major League Soccer books with French World Cup star and former Bernabeu team-mate Zidane poised to change his mind about quitting the game for good to join Chicago Fire.
Both clubs are owned by the AEG entertainments group and the company chief executive Tim Leiweke admitted that talks with Zidane are close to finding a successful resolution. He said: “We are working on a deal right now. There are only four players that move the needle as far as the US is concerned: Ronaldo. Beckham. Zidane. Ronaldinho.”
