LA Galaxy president “opens door” to ex-Real Madrid star Zidane

The door is still open to the legendary Zinedine Zidane to return to football and take up his boots once more. It remains to be seen if he will accept it. I really hope that he will ;)

LA Galaxy president Tim Leiweke has confirmed an offer is on the table for Zinedine Zidane to come out of retirement and join his ex-Real Madrid teammate David Beckham at the MLS club this year.

“We have contacted his entourage about coming to play for us this year,” Leiweke told Gazzetta dello Sport. “He knows our door will always be open. His contract won’t be a problem.”

Despite working to a salary cap, Leiweke says the Galaxy are cleared to sign Zidane and Beckham for this MLS season, which kicked off last weekend.

Regradless of whether La Galaxy have “Opened their door” there will still be an extremely signifancant tranfer fee to real madrid and after spending $250,000,000 on David Beckham I doubt they will have the money to afford what Real Madrid will ask for him.
