Zinedine Zidane is a French soccer player. He is best known as the man who scored the winning goal for France in the World Cup in 1998. Zinedine Zidane was born in Marseilles in France in 1972. He is French of Algerian origin. Algeria is in North Africa and at one time was a colony of France.
Zinedine weighs about 80 kg and is 1metre 85cm in height. He plays as a midfielder.
Zinedine’s career started playing for Bordeau, a French team. Here, he played for four seasons and became an international player for France. In 1996, Zinedine joined Juventus, the team from Milan in Italy. since then he has helped his Juventus team mates to win many awards, including the National Championship title 1996/97, the Toyota Cup 1996/97 and the European Supercup 1996/97 .
In 1998, France hosted the 16th World Cup for soccer. The French team were given an outside chance of winning but to everyone’s surprise they made it through to the finals. In the final, France faced a head on clash with the defending World Champions, Brazil.
Well if Zidane encountered Terry Tate, this is the most likely scenario that would happen.

Pity if you will poor old Zinedine Zidane: sent off during the World Cup final for a serious infraction of FIFA’s “no headbutting Italians” rule and now reduced to the status of French national hero with enough cash in the bank to enjoy a lifetime of truffles, stuffed songbirds and fine vintage champagne.
Indeed, while the rest of the world was struggling to contain its outrage at Zidane’s unsportsmanlike use of the Glasgow handshake, Jacques Chirac counterattacked with: “I would like to express all the respect that I have for a man who represents at the same time all the most beautiful values of sport, the greatest human qualities one can imagine, and who has honoured French sport and, simply, France.”
Well, therein lies the rub, mon ami. How you view the whole thing depends largely on your national perspective, as nicely demonstrated by a viral email we received this morning.

Zidane headbutting in a Final Fantasy game interface setting. Wacky!

Yet another Zidane website has appeared…TheZidaneHeadbutt.Com features a Flash minigame similar to the ones that we have linked to before. The objective of the game is to make Zidane collect as many red cards as possible by headbutting all the Materazzis that head his way. Quite funny, actually. LOL!
The fun continues. Here Zidane is seen going at Materazzi with a “supercharged” head-butt.

See how Zidane destroys a door with a single headbutt. LOL.
